Simple Harmonic Motion with Pasco Dynamics Track

Connect a Pasco Dynamics Cart to a fixed support on the Dynamics Track
with a spring. Set the track at an incline with a motion detoctor
clamped to the bottom as shown above. The motion detector allows
simultaneous, real-time measurements of position, velocity, and acceleration
as functions of time. This requires the Pasco 6500 Interface, and
a computer with Pasco Science Workshop software. Project real-time
position, velocity, and acceleration graphs, as shown below, onto a screen
with an LCD projector connected to the computer. The mass of the
dynamics cart can be doubled or trippled by adding the Pasco Dynamics Cart
Weights.
