PIRA 5K20.30
| The jumping ring coil shown at right is much like the
jumping ring coil with the adjustable core, but the core
and windings have been optimized for maximum ring
height. This coil draws between 9 and 12
Amps. It should be plugged into a power strip with
a breaker. It has a relay switch for pulsed
current. the button switch should be quickly
tapped, otherwise the wires and power cord quickly get
dangerously hot. It will shoot an aluminum ring 30'
to 40' straight up, or 60' to 80' when shot at an
angle. If the ring is cooled in liquid nitrogen first, it will shoot almost twice as far. |
