Scholarship: Scholarships ranging from $500 to $800 awarded to Native
Americans. Awards are based on financial need and academic merit
- Ben Davis Memorial (Established by FMC Corporation): Renewable
scholarship with preference given to enrolled members of the Shoshone-Bannock
Tribes. Scholarship is announced when an award vacancy occurs. Announcements

- Marie L. Hopkins: Variable number of scholarships available;

Chapter: One award given annually to a sophomore or junior female or
minority student majoring in engineering or a science-related field. 2.0
cumulative GPA required. Financial need will be given primary

- Business and Professional Women's foundation: Variable-amount
scholarships awarded to female part-time and full-time students who are 25 years
of age or older. Must be US citizen. Applicants must demonstrate financial
need nad be within 24 months of completing a program of study. Applications are
available only between February 1 - April 1 and July 1 - September 1. Mail a
self-addressed business sized envelope with 2 First Class Stamps and an official
enrollment or acceptance verification letter from ISU, plus a copy of your most

- ISU Women's Club: Three full-fee scholarships awarded based on
academic merit. One to a female sophomore in an academic major, one to an
applied technology student, and one to a child of an ISU faculty or staff
employee who has attended at least one semester at ISU (does not need to be
currently enrolled).
- Harriet Martin Memorial Book Award: Annula award to a female
non-traditional student demonstrating financial need. Preference given to
widowed or divorced head-of-household
- PEO Loans and Grants: Awards for female US or Canadian citizens who
are within 24 months of completing education program and demonstrate financial
need. Applicants must be continuing theit education after a minimum of 12
months out of school.
- Society of Professional Engineers and Scientists Southeast Idaho
Chapter: One award given annually to a sophomore or junior female or
minority student majoring in engineering or a science-related field. 2.0
cumulative GPA required. Financial need will be given primary
consideration.
- Zonta Club Scholarship: Annual award to a female student in the
college of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, or the School of Applied
Technology. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Preference will be given to students in
academic programs who are engaged in the study of natural or physical (like
Health Physics) sciences. Must be sophomore level at the time of the award.
Applicants must have completed two semesters as full-time ISU academic students,
or one semester (or two sessions) as an applied technology student at ISU.
Applied tech applicants must be continuing in one of the following programs:
Aircraft Mechanics, Civil Engineering Tech., Communications, electro-mechanical
Tech., Instrumentation, LASER/Electro-Optics Systems or Telecommunications
Tech., or Computer Programming/Systems Technology.
Sports
- Rampton Barlow Memorial: One scholarship awarded annually to an
undergraduate varsity athlete who demonstrates academic potential
- Samuel H. Bennion Athletic Scholarship: Scholarships awarded to
student athletes in good academic standing
- F. W. Bergeson Memorial: Annual award to a student participating in
track. Preference given to students from the Moreland/Blackfoot area.
- Laurence E. Gale Memorial Scholarship: Annual award to a student who
has completed at least one semester at ISU with a minimum 3.0 GPA and is
participating in intercollegiate athletics (except football and basketbal).
Preference given to students preparing for the "medical arts" field (this could
include Health Physics with a suitablly loose definition).
- Woodrow Lundberg Book Award: One award given annually to help defray
book expenses for a student participating in varsity athletics at ISU. Must be
a US citizen.
Group Affiliation
- Eastern Star: $250 scholarship awarded to members of Job's
Daughters, Demolay, and/or Rainbow for Girls. Applicants can be of any age and
can be graduating high school seniors, current or prospective ISU students, or
individuals who are re-entering the educational system. Applications available
from the State Secretaries of the above organizations, or from the ISU Scholarship office.
February 15 application deadline.
- ISUFCU: Several awards given each year to students who are members of
Idaho State University Federal Credit Union. Mid February application deadline.

- Marriott Student Employee Scholarship: Awards for ISU students who
are Marriott employees. 3.0 GPA required. Award amounts varies with available
funding.
- PEO Sargent Memorial: Annual award to new or continuing ISU applied
tech or academic students. Must be a member or spouse, child, or grandchild of
a
living or deceased Idaho chapter member ofan Idaho State Chapter of the PEO
Sisterhood. Applications available in January from the ISU Scholarship office.
February 15 application deadline.
- Pocatello Chapter of Idaho Credit Unions: Two scholarships awarded
annually to students who demonstrate financial need. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.
Mid-February application deadline. Must be a member of one of the Pocatello
Chapter credit unions.

This category is usually referred to as the "non-trads" category-- people who
don't go straight from high school to College

- Non-Traditional Student Scholarships Awards are made annually to
individuals who have been out of high school or stopped attending college for a
minimum of five years (10 semesters). Financial need, US Citizenship, and Idaho

- P.E.O. Loans and Grants Awards for female US or Canadian citizens
who are within 24 months of completing education program and demonstrate
financial need. Applicants must be continuing their education after a minimum

Parental employment
- FMC Scholarship Annual awards are offered to sons and daughters of FMC Corporation employees, and to
applied technology students. Applications availabale in September from the ISU Scholarship
Office.. Late September application deadline.
- J.R. Simplot Scholarships are awarded to children of Simplot Company employees. Announcement is made in all
Simplot Company publications. April 1 application deadline.
Disability
- Americans with Disabilites Act (ADA) Scholarship Awarded to a student who qualifies under the ADA, with a
minimum of 2.0 GPA.
- Gregory Gile Memorila Scholarship Awards made to Idaho high school graduates or continuing college students
with Epilepsy. Must be a US citizen or permanent resident and an Idaho resident for a minimum of 1 year.
- Live Foundation Scholarship One scholarship awarded annually to a student who meets the following criteria:
- Must be a wheelchair user, permanently on crutches, have a 20/100 sight impairment, or be 80% heraing
impaired
- Must demonstraate financial need
- must be a resident of Southern Idaho
- cannot be on academic probation
- National Federation of the Blind Awards ranging in amounts from $500 to $6,000 are available top blind
persons. Recipients need not be Federation members. Applications are to be submitted by March 31 of eaach year, and
can be obtained from

- Gagon Numerous scholarships available annually. Caribou County residents are given first preference; Bear

- Governor Frank Hunt Scholarships available to former or current graduates of Emmett High School who
demonstrate financial need. Applications available in January from the ISU Scholarship

- Steele-Reese Scholarships of varying amounts available to residents of Lemhi or Custer counties. Minimum
3.0 GPA required. Applicants must demonstrate financial need
