46th Annual Health Physics Society Meeting

Cleveland, Ohio

The EAL sent two student employees, Nathan Gee and Adam Arndt, to the 46th annual Health Physics Society meeting in Cleveland, Ohio along with five other students from ISU.  Gee and Arndt presented poster papers stemming from work conducted in the EAL.  Gee presented a paper on high dose LiF optical dosimeters and Arndt presented a paper on Quality Assurance and Control procedures for TLDs that are being used for in-house work.

Attending many technical sessions such as Environmental Health Physics and Medical Health Physics expanded the knowledge base of the students.  The students were put to work running audiovisual equipment for the technical sessions, professional enrichment programs, and the continuing education lectures, which allowed even more knowledge to be absorbed.  The students also worked at an exhibitor booth promoting ISU and the Health Physics program.
