The Anomalous Magnetic Moment of the Muon.

The discrepancy of about three standard deviations between theoretical
and experimental values of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon
a_mu is one of the most
intriguing hints at physics beyond the Standard Model to date. To test
this discrepancy a new experiment is being constructed at Fermilab as
a part of the effort at the
so-called Intensity Frontier. It will reduce the experimental
uncertainty of a_mu from the Brookhaven experiment by a factor of
four. In my talk I will review the history
of a_mu and describe the new exciting effort at Fermilab, the
experimental techniques, and the status of the experiment.
