An introduction to IC manufacturing and AMI Semiconductor

Jon Stoner, Sr VP and CTO of AMI Semiconductor will give a short introduction to the manufacture of ICs and background on AMI Semiconductor. Semiconductors and Integrated Circuits drive over $200 Billion of world wide sales and end up in well over one Trillion dollars worth of end products from PCs to cell phones, TVs, Automobiles and medical products. However, few college courses introduce students to the many disciplines of science that goes into the designing and manufacturing of ICs.  Through a short video presentation on IC manufacturer and a presentation on AMI Semiconductor, I hope to suggest some interesting fields for further study and future employment.
