A large portion of the research done within the Idaho State University physics program specializes in high energy nuclear physics. The Idaho Accelerator Center (IAC) currently maintains 4 linear accelerators with which such research is done.  In this talk, I’ll present the scientific capabilities at the IAC, the fundamentals of beam physics, and the research that can be done with high energy electrons, photons, and neutrons.  Among other research possibilities, particular focus will be given to future opportunities in studying advanced materials for next generation nuclear reactors.
