Analysis of Advanced Test Reactor Experiments
Dr. James R. Parry
Idaho National Laboratory
Advanced Test Reactor Facility
The Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) is a very unique high power test reactor located at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). The reactor is used for testing fuels and materials for a variety of applications. Because of the uniqueness of the reactor and the high power environment, materials and fuels experiments must have a rigorous set of analyses performed to ensure the safe operation of the reactor while meeting customer programmatic goals. Some of the required reactor physics analyses and analysis codes used will be presented along with a discussion of why they are needed and how the results are used.
