Neutron Multiplicity Analysis

The ability to create and sustain fission chains within assemblies of special nuclear material is crucial for nuclear energy production and national security applications.  Exploiting the multiplying characteristics of such assemblies also provides a path for detecting, identifying, and characterizing items comprised of special nuclear material.  This presentation will present the mathematical basis for performing multiplicity analysis, as well as provide examples of several analysis methods with experimental measurements.
