Pion Electroproduction in the resonance region has been studied as
a means of exploring the physics underlying the structure of the
nucleon. An extensive program with the CEBAF large acceptance
spectrometer (CLAS) at Jefferson Lab, is currently underway to study
electromagnetic transition form factors of nucleon low-lying excitation
states and their dependence on the distance scale through pseudoscaler
meson electroproduction, which we discuss in this report.
