Detectors for Homeland Security Applications

I will describe the physical principles utilized in a portable neutron spectrometer designed for Homeland Security applications.  The requirements and opportunities for using neutron detectors to find nuclear weapons materials will be reviewed.  An overview of the Department of Homeland Security programs in nuclear particle detector applications will be presented.
