Probing Structure of Matter with Electron Accelerators at Jefferson Lab

Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab) is funded by the Office of Science for the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE). I will present an overview of physics research program at Jefferson Lab with a particular emphasis on the quark structure of matter and unique properties of the electromagnetic probe. Several spin-offs of electron accelerator and detector technologies include applied research with a Free Electron Laser and medical imaging.
